Location: Some travel will be required to the sites we operate in. We offer flexible working arrangements.

Job Description: We have various teaching roles available, we would like to hear from candidates who can take on one class, or multiple classes. Our current vacancies for 2025/26 are:

Tuesdays 3:15-4:15 pm, Millbrook

Wednesdays 3:15-4:15 pm, Whiteley
-
Fridays 5-7pm, Warsash (permanent or temp) - SO31
-
Fridays 7-8pm, Warsash (permanent or temp) - SO31

We are looking for an inspiring and energetic teacher/s to join our youth theatre Light UP and meet our lovely students. We support young people to shine on and off the stage, and this year we are celebrating our 10th anniversary. Our Youth Theatre is sector leading and we operate all across Hampshire. We’d love to connect with you if you feel your skills and experience can support us in our mission to:

Use the arts to support the wellbeing and mental health of people, particularly young people, so they feel valued, heard and cared for.
-
Develop peoples life skills, performance skills and their interest in creativity through our innovative, supportive performance training and creative programme.
​
Essential Skills Required:
-
A minimum of one years youth theatre/ drama teaching experience
-
Relevant training either through education or practice
-
A current DBS (or willing to acquire one)
-
Ability to think on your feet and deliver outstanding drama classes
-
Organised, reliable and motivated
-
Able to prepare and direct performances
-
Personable and friendly to our students and their families
-
A love for youth theatre, teaching and directing
Desirable Skills:
-
Paediatric First Aid Trained
-
Driver (due to some of our class locations and prop store)
-
Experience in putting on large scale performances
