Early Years Practitioner

Job Title: Early Years Practitioner

Project Fee: £1900

Location: UP Studios, Hamble, Gosport, Fareham and Locks Heath

 

Hours: 8 days project planning in June and 6 weeks delivering 6 hours of classes a week

Contract: Freelance - project delivery June-September

We are seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner to work with us to create a new curriculum of creative and sensory play classes for 0-3 year olds. You must be knowledgeable in child development and have the ability to use your experience to create innovative and unique activities for our new range of classes 'Little Lights'.

Little Lights is a new project, funded by the National Lottery, to deliver creative and sensory play classes for 0-3 year olds and their families. Little Lights will allow babies and toddlers to explore, investigate, socialise and discover, to aid their social and physical development for 0-1 years, 1-2 years and 2-3 years.

 

We want to collaborate with an experienced Early Years Practitioner to work with us to design and create the content for a 6 week programme of ‘Little Lights’ classes to address the gap in provisions for new parents due to the Coronavirus pandemic. You will work with us to create the content and to deliver half of the Little Lights sessions.

This contract is for an initial three month period. There may be scope to extend this freelance role in September, depending on the success of the project.

We are seeking an experienced music and play facilitator for under 3’s to work with us to deliver a new curriculum of creative and sensory play classes for 0-3 year olds, called Little Lights. You must be experienced in leading early year groups and or classes and be able to confidently communicate and engage with adults and carers.

Little Lights will allow babies and toddlers to explore, investigate, socialise and discover, to aid their social and physical development for 0-1 years, 1-2 years and 2-3 years.

 

You will work in conjunction with our Early Year Practitioner to deliver half of our ‘Little Lights’ classes over a 6 week programme running in July and August. The classes have been created by our team, alongside an Early Year Practitioner, to address the gap in provisions for new parents due to the Coronavirus pandemic, alongside a professional musician who is composing original pieces of music. This contract is for an initial two month period with scope to extend, should the project be successful.

We are seeking an inspirational, organised and creative person to assist our Youth Theatre Officer in the coordination of our youth theatre, Light UP.


Our Youth Theatre Assistant will support our Youth Theatre Officer in the coordination of our freelance teaching staff, venues and students to ensure the successful delivering of our Light UP classes, in line with the overall artistic vision, business plan and objectives of the Unexpected Places company; ensuring compliance with health and safety and child protection policies at all times.


We are looking for a confident and eager individual who is ready to learn about this exciting field of work. We are looking for someone who will thrive in a busy work environment and enjoy making a valuable contribution to Unexpected Places. You will be expected to work as part of a wider team, as well as be given independent projects to complete; you will also be asked to assist the Youth Theatre Officer in classes as a teaching assistant when required (training will be provided).
