Light UP Classes Terms & Conditions

A refundable one time deposit of £30 is required to register your child with Light UP. Your child will not be permitted to attend Light UP drama classes until the £30 deposit has been paid.

Light UP reserves the right to ask participants to leave the group if they fail to pay class fees, continue to display disruptive behaviour or are disrespectful to other members or equipment.

Light UP will always endeavour to run classes at the specified time, date and location as advertised. However, if illness, room hire issues or other unforeseen circumstances mean the class cannot go ahead we will endeavour to rearrange the class, or carry any credit from missed sessions to the next half-term’s fees.

Participants have been automatically enrolled in our Light UP and Unexpected Places mailing list regarding upcoming classes, workshops and productions. You reserve the right to request to be removed from the list and will only receive communication regarding matters relevant to the company, if you should wish to be removed please let us know by emailing, or click 'unsubscribe' from our e-newsletters.

Participants agree to pay class fees:

Half-termly, by the Monday of each new half-term. Invoices will be sent at least one week before they are due. Payment should be made via BACS, or card through the invoice itself. Refunds will not be given for absence.

If class fees are late, a £10 late payment fee, to cover our admin and banking costs, will be charged and added to the invoice for that half-term.

Light UP reserves the right to increase class fees in line with inflation, rising hall hire and running costs. Customers will be informed 6 weeks prior to a price increase. Light UP remains committed to providing affordable classes and is a not-for-profit organisation.

If participants decide that they no longer wish to attend classes, Light UP requires a minimum of 6 weeks’ written notice.  This is to help minimise disruption to the group, especially in regards to performances. Once notice is received, if the child continues to attend for the period of their notice then the deposit will be credited to your account, if no outstanding fees are owed. If no notice is given, parents/guardians will continue to be charged and the deposit will not be refundable. If the participant gives notice and fails to attend their following 6 sessions, the deposit will not be refunded.
