As many are already aware, for the first time in our organisation’s eight year history we have had to make an appeal to the public to help support the charity in our effort to raise what was initially £25K by the end of October. Despite so many generous pledges from our community and the public, we have had to change our deadline several times in hopes it would help us meet that goal. Although we were ambitious at first, we always knew some difficult decisions may have to be made and thanks to the understanding nature of our landlord we have now agreed that we will be moving out of our headquarters at UP Studios at the end of December. For this reason, we are now able to lower our target to £10,000 and since we were fortunate enough to receive a match fund for £5,000 from Sovereign House we are 79% of the way to reaching this goal. At time of writing we have raised £2,933 leaving us with a further £2,067 to raise which is so close to ensuring the future is bright in 2023 for our organisation and our team. Should this remaining amount not be pledged, we would not be eligible for the match fund which means we’ll only receive what has been pledged by our supporters. While we are grateful for all the support we’ve received through pledges and lovely messages, in order to continue delivering the high quality sessions we’ve built our reputation on, it’s crucial to reach our target. We understand that the current climate is difficult for so many and the holidays approaching means we’re all on tighter budgets but any support you can give is a help. Whether its sharing our post on social media or telling people about our classes, everything contributes to the mission.
