This adaptation of C.S. Lewis's classic children's story was dramatized by Adrian Mitchell with music by Shaun Davey and first performed at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The tale begins as we see the Pevensie children evacuate from London during the Blitz, escaping to the safety of Professor Kirk’s stately home. Whilst exploring, the children stumble across a wardrobe, which is where they discover a gateway to another world, quickly finding themselves caught up in a deadly struggle between good and evil.

Step into the wardrobe and the magical kingdom of Narnia for a charming re-telling of the beloved classic, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Performances will be taking place 11/2 and 12/2 at Royal Victoria Country Park Chapel, there the chapel will be transformed as you embark on an immersive theatrical journey presented by Light UP Shirley Company in co-production with Maskers Theatre Company.

This production marks the first of its kind for Light UP and Maskers, with actors from both companies taking the stage and creative collaborations happening behind the scenes as well  . Providing a unique and exciting opportunity to blend the talents of these two versatile companies to help round out the cast of characters needed to bring the world of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to life. The production has been led under the direction of Courtney Fayle, Education and Outreach Manager of Light UP with technical direction from Clive Weeks of Maskers.

With the White Witch claiming the land as hers, Narnia has been plagued by cruelty and a never ending winter. Can the children with the help of legendary lion, Aslan, restore Narnia to the beautiful place it once was? Will they melt the snow and the witches evil plans or will it remain always winter, never summer? Enter the wardrobe and all will be answered.
