Our Light UP Festival brings together the very best in youth theatre and professional performances into a day's celebration of fun, family and theatre - in the first festival of its kind. Expect a jam packed day full of shows, workshops and (hopefully) sunshine in the grounds of The Gregg School in Southampton. We also have a dedicated under 3’s area, our Little Lights stage, with interactive concerts, sensory dome, creative and sensory play classes and a bubble explosion event!

We have two professional theatre companies performing on the day, HandMade Theatre and Gobbledegook Theatre as well as over 20 Light UP performances from audio adventures to Shakespeare in the grounds to musicals and Tales from Beatrix Potter. There will be games and creative challenges throughout the day too, including a highly anticipated moo off (ask your children!).

Come down with the whole family, friends and guests to a memorable summer event that will kick off the Summer holidays and entertain all ages from birth to 100!

We’ll have all your needs covered on the day, with our own picnic stand and other tasty treats, refreshments on site and stalls of local businesses. Or if you’d prefer, you can bring your own. You are also welcome to bring your own chair or blanket to watch performances. There is a car parking on site but a limited number of spaces so please car share where you can and pre-book your car parking space for a nominal £1 fee.

This festival celebrates all the achievements of our Light UP students, our Little Lights classes and the values we hold close to our hearts as a performing arts charity - ensuring everyone has access to amazing arts experiences.
